I honestly expected a lot from this film for 3 months and honestly I am very disappointed with the script because it is really bad and boring, you don’t expect the story to be explained and told in that way at the end because there was a great tone and a great potential to get the best story in the film industry, too bad! First of all the tone of the script is great, you did everything to create such a beautiful story to tell the audience but unfortunately the way the writers handled the script was terrible… because the old period where childhood is told is beautiful but too long and it bores you because so many things happen and…
You expect the movie to be revived when you see old children on adult people well
very useful to show and explain how 30 minutes to show the past will be great but 1 hour and 15 minutes is too long!!! notice that nothing moves, everything is too slow, not much action, so the main character could redeem himself from his old problems, take revenge on all the people who betrayed him but he didn’t… I mean the story will be better with ideas and it’s so disappointed that the dramatic scene was not present enough, very bad because it will be a beautiful story!!!

And about the script, the two main actors that we love, act only 20 minutes together, it’s not enough for a very long film of 2 hours and 40 minutes and it’s a shame because we expected more moments with these two actors, very negative point… The direction, the soundtrack, the lights and the colors of the crew are only the positive points of the film with also the beautiful acting of all the cast, but for me the really negative point is the script, very slow and too long, which killed the film… Thank you Gilles Lelouche for your great direction, but your screenwriters and the different choices they made killed the film, even if this story is based on a book and you can’t create the ideas you want…
