AniMat’s crazy animated film Cast: Stupid Old Death Bear (2022)
Scenario
Four kids on their home planet make a mysterious discovery that lands them lost in a strange and dangerous galaxy. Jude Law stars in Skeleton Crew and more stars from a galaxy far, far away. The holographic circus that entertains Neal’s little siblings is the same one that entertains Chewbacca’s family in the infamous Star Wars holiday special (1978).
When I saw the first episode, I was so happy that it lasted about 40 minutes
I think the series is great so far, but there’s one problem that really bothers me: the running time. Then came the second episode: if you include the flashback and subtitles, it’s not even 25 minutes. If I get 25 minutes of an episode every week, I have to watch what happened last week.
As for the actors: God, they’re kids
Once you can’t get lost in the universe, you’re done with it. Incredibly unsatisfying! I’ll probably not watch for months and try to avoid all spoilers so I can watch it all next year.
They clearly haven’t had years of acting training
But the main characters are likable, the music is okay, and the action isn’t exactly kid-friendly. After two episodes, I can’t wait to see what happens next, but unfortunately, I won’t know until next year.
