Excellent acting by all
Best new show, after Jack Ryan’s disappointing 4th season and generally poor shows all around, this felt much better in every way. It looks really good and the action/fight scenes look amazing. I think most of the criticism of this show in the comments section seems to come down to how unrealistic it is because of the whole female operator thing, and as a guy I don’t mind a good female-led action show that’s original IP.
that doesn’t turn the male main character into the female main character
Other than that, I haven’t seen any red flags yet, like every man being portrayed as incompetent or anything like that. Also, at first I thought it was going to be more of a no-frills action series, but then they kind of dipped into the family, and I usually get excited about that, but I didn’t like what they did there. My only criticism is that the plot of what this particular group of operatives are doing is very limiting to the story and might kill it if it goes beyond the plot/villain of the season…it needs to be more comprehensive so they can possibly make a new Homeland, more intense and faster, otherwise it risks becoming too episodic like Blacklist.
We’ll see what the wonderful Morgan Freeman brings to the show
PS: Nicole Kidman’s role so far is incredibly small and uneventful and could be played by anyone else… But from what we’ve seen so far, the show could it stands alone with Zaldana with no other star A. TLDR Insightful optimist, but I like what I see so far, everything is incredibly polished and well done.
