The series moves the action to modern times
Scenario
The Jackal is an elusive assassin who makes his living by carrying out a large batch of assassinations. He soon meets a worthy adversary, a tenacious British intelligence officer who tracks him down in an exciting cat-and-mouse chase across Europe. The action of the novel “Day of the Jackal” takes place in 1963 and concerns the assassination attempt of the then French President Charles de Gaulle.
Remake of The Day of the Jackal (1973)
The first 2 episodes were a solid 8.5, but then dropped to a soft 6. My first complaint is that the title implies that this is a film adaptation of Frederick Forsyth’s brilliant novel, but it has nothing to do with the story. It’s like an adaptation of Moby Dick, but without the whales.
Horses running away from V8 police vehicles?
The reason I spare him the quilting is because the plot keeps getting sillier. The crack squad finds him and is 50 meters away, firing about 80 rounds and no one can hit him directly. I hope I never have to save from these guys.
Terrible filler to stretch scenes into six episodes
Really. Really? But my main complaint is what I call the Netflix disease.

yes, we get it, shots from room to room, with no fill time for the results, but it doesn’t add to the story or character development. It should be a 4 part series or a 3 hour movie. The new season of “Silo” is one of the biggest TV and streaming premieres this month.
